Privacy Policy
Velvet Pilot ("Website") is explaining how we collect, store, and use information tied to our flight game, websites, and related services. We take player privacy seriously and keep your data protected. When you use our services, you should know what we're doing with your information and why.
The types of information we collect and how we collect it
Personal Information
We use third party SDKs for ads, game analytics, in-app purchases, and account stuff like progress tracking and leaderboards. These third parties get access to collected data only for running their services, which is allowed by law. That includes advertising identifiers, rough location data, and IP addresses. Check out the policies of the third party operators listed below to see what they do. If you give us your email when we ask, we'll use it for mailing lists, getting your account back if needed, or support. Playing the game means having a screen name so other players can see who you are.
Non-personal Information
Third parties collect technical stuff that doesn't identify you—device type, browser, screen size, operating system, and general location. They use it for research within limits. Look at their policies to understand what they're doing. On our end, we gather anonymous usage data to research and improve the game. It's generic information that can't point to any one person. We collect it every time you run our services.
Service Specific Information
Your profile picture and username from social networks or game services can show up in the game, but they stay on your device and don't get sent to us.
What we do with the personal information we collect
Advertisers track how ads perform, how users interact with them, and what interests people have so they can show relevant ads. We don't allow anyone under 13 to put identifying details in usernames or screen names—no first or last names, email addresses, or home addresses.
What we do with the non-personal information we collect
Third party operators take non-personal information and use it for research, analysis, targeting ads, and other limited things. It can't identify individual users. We use non-personal data to make the game better in future updates and to see how players are actually using it.
What we do with service specific information we collect
When we grab identifiers from Facebook, Twitter, Apple Game Center, or Google Play Game Services, it's because specific features require them—like sharing your progress with friends. Contact us if you want this information deleted for yourself or your child under 13.
How to opt-out of targeted advertising
Turn off interest-based ads in your phone settings. On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy > Advertising and turn on Limit Ad Tracking. Android users go to Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization (the exact path varies). Want more details on advertising choices? Visit https://youradchoices.com/.
Children
Kids' privacy matters, especially under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We don't knowingly collect, use, or share personal information from anyone under 13. When services target kids under 13, we set everything up to block personal information collection and configure third-party tools the same way. Check those operators' privacy policies for details. Kids still see ads and promotions, but they're not personalized—everyone gets the same ones. Think your child under 13 gave us personal information? Email us using the contact info below and we'll delete it.
Disclosure of Personal information
We share personal data when the law requires it, to protect our rights or assets, during mergers or sales, with your permission, or the way we described with third-party operators. We don't share, sell, rent, or release your data otherwise. Email us if you want to see, change, or delete your personal information. You have those rights, plus the right to not be treated differently for asking. A small charge might apply for getting and sharing your data where the law allows it.
Security
We follow standard industry practices and internal steps to keep personal information safe while it's moving and after we get it.
